Firstly, this course discusses the theoretical basis, representative cases, research paradigms and research topics of global cities. Then, teaching is carried out in combination with the current environment faced by urban development and digital development. Considering the lack of background knowledge of international students and international students in understanding China's global urban development, this paper makes an all-round exposition of China's political and economic development more than 70 years after the founding of the people's Republic of China. Finally, it is the special teaching part of this course, which is divided into cultural construction of global cities, big data construction and ecological civilization construction. The innovative features of this course are the response to the national call, the combination of theory and case, and the combination of classroom learning and after-school reading.
